This next-generation umeshu has a rich, lingering taste derived from barrels and Western liquor, and can be enjoyed with meals, pairing well with soda. This is a type of umeshu that uses 720ml (13%) of Kumano umeshu with 40% less sugar. (*This is our comparison) Uses Nankobai from Kishu. We aimed for a strong liqueur that could also be used as a base for cocktails. A flavor that can be matched with well-seasoned dishes. However, we were careful not to destroy the original “Gentleness”‘ of umeshu, which can also be used as an aperitif.
